I fitted the seal and it fits like the original. My original had hardened in the meantime, so it no longer held in the rail. The new one holds tight again. The windshield wiper has to be removed and the linkage pressed out. The rubber seal around the windshield wiper is sealed by a kind of steel band / perforated band clamp, which should perhaps be replaced (perhaps still available from MB). But it can also be reused. In any case, the rubber seal fits pretty well.
